From Rolfe: The fish theme is a very fascinating one for me. There is so much to explore with fishes and their form and mystery lend itself well to many of my ideas. I really wanted to make this drawing quite colorful even though it is a bit grim. I especially enjoy the organs of the fish. They are not the actual organs but what I imagine them to be like. It is more like color bursting forth from the fish rather than organs that serve a function.
